Chapter House is in an excellent location in Chelmsford city centre on Cathedral Walk and offers a variety of meeting rooms available to hire.
Due to its central location, Chapter House is the ideal venue for those travelling by public transport or car, with the train and bus stations within easy walking distance and parking available at nearby car parks.
Our meeting rooms are equipped with the latest AV equipment, with a modern white screen and projector and inbuilt sound system in St Cedd’s Hall, and Johnson Room and Chancellor Room using TV screens for displaying presentations.
Also available to hire is Chapter Room, accessible from the first floor by stairs only, but ideal for business meetings or training courses.
Our meeting rooms offer flexible room layouts that can suit your needs, from theatre and boardroom, to classroom and café styles.
Our largest room, St Cedd’s Hall on the ground floor, can accommodate up to 120 delegates in theatre style or 80 delegates in café style, using either rectangular tables or round tables with cloths.
There is disabled access via the lift to the first floor only, where the WC facilities are located, including a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities.
Refreshments are available including hot and cold drinks and biscuits; we are also able to provide a continental breakfast of warm rolls and pastries, as well as a sandwich lunch.
Dietary options are available upon request including gluten free and vegan menu choices.
Wi-Fi can be accessed free of charge during your booking and flipcharts are available upon request.
Located adjacent to the Cathedral, Chapter House also offers the flexibility to be used as a breakout space for events and concerts taking place in the Cathedral.
