How do questions about identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage fit within the bigger picture of the good news of Jesus Christ? What does it mean to live in love and faith together as a Church?

"The course was immensely rewarding but also a little challenging in that it asks us to question a set of beliefs that are centuries old. It was very touching to listen to the real stories and struggles of people who are trying to lead a “normal” life, following Christ. I think this course opens up discussions on what is traditionally thought of as sinful and taboo ways of living. We are guided to review the bible and traditional interpretations. I feel very proud to have taken part in these discussions and proud that I am part of a Church that has initiated this".
The ‘Living in Love and Faith’ course seeks to create a safe space in which discussion can take place about the diversity of sexuality and gender. A longer term aim is to help those with the responsibility to clarify church teaching. It is supported by some excellent material, including course notes, podcasts, impactful videos of people bravely talking about their own experiences and an extensively researched book. These are easily accessible on-line and in hard copy and would be of interest to many whether attending the course or not.
To access all the resources, you need to create an account here where you can follow the course, watch the videos and listen to the podcasts.
