Chapter House Venue Manager
Chelmsford Cathedral seeks a customer-focused Chapter House Venue Manager to oversee meeting room bookings and operations. Responsibilities include managing bookings and ensuring high service standards in our modern city centre meeting space.

Line Manager: Chief Operating Officer
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, worked flexibly with occasional early starts and late working to greet clients

About the role
The Chapter House, owned and managed by Chelmsford Cathedral, offers four modern, well equipped meeting rooms for hire in the centre of Chelmsford. We are seeking an organized and customer-focused Chapter House Venue Manager to oversee the booking and operation of our meeting rooms. In this role, you will manage room bookings, coordinate with clients, and ensure all bookings are delivered in a friendly and professional manner. You’ll be responsible for maximizing bookings, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining high operational standards.

There are around 250 volunteers here at Chelmsford Cathedral covering a great many roles which allows the Cathedral to open seven days a week, be a home to many community groups and continue to offer free entry to visitors.
