Residentiary Canon for Learning and Nurture

Are you called to shape how people of all ages encounter the living God?

Chelmsford Cathedral is seeking to appoint a creative, collaborative and experienced Residentiary Canon for Learning and Nurture, to lead our spiritual formation and educational outreach.

This is a pivotal leadership role at an exciting moment in the Cathedral's story, as we live out a refreshed vision for mission across one of England's most diverse dioceses.

We offer a warm, energetic community, rich in contemporary art, flourishing choral and liturgical life, and a genuine appetite for imaginative mission.

You will bring at least six years in holy orders, proven collaborative leadership, and a passion for nurturing faith in all its breadth.

Operations Assistant  

The Cathedral is looking ro recruit an Operations Assistant. This is a new, interesting and very varied role, key to the smooth running of the Cathedral Offices and Estate and providing efficient assistance to the Head of Property & Operations.

This position is ideal for someone who is looking for a role that offers variety and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The post-holder will be highly organised, confident and friendly dealing with people, and will enjoy the challenge of a hands-on role and an interchangeable working day.

They will play a key role in providing help with administration, facilities support, the procurement of supplies and also provide a warm welcome to visitors.

The deadline for applications is midday 22 May.

Interviews will take place on the week commencing 25th May.

Become a volunteer at the Cathedral

There are around 250 volunteers here at Chelmsford Cathedral covering a great many roles which allows the Cathedral to open seven days a week, be a home to many community groups and continue to offer free entry to visitors.
