Children and families will always find a warm welcome here at Chelmsford Cathedral.
From exploring faith at Junior Church to making music with our Young Singers, getting creative at our half term Stay and Plays to having fun at Little Robins, there's lots going on!
You'll find information about our regular sessions below and don't forget to visit our What's On page to find out about seasonal and special events.
We love welcoming children and young people to the Cathedral and are delighted to be able to offer a range of opportunites for uniformed organisations and youth groups to engage with us.
Trails of Discovery tour
Compiled by the Arts Society our Trails of Discovery worksheet give children the opportunity to explore and learn about the Cathedral through our art, architecture and history. You can choose to be accompanied by our Children and Families Worker during your visit or follow the trail independently. Please email us to reserve your visit time in the Cathedral diary.
Guided tour
If your group is interested in visiting the Cathedral as part of your programme of activities, our Children and Families Worker can host a guided tour just for you. Please contact us to discuss your area of interest or the focus of your learning and we can work together to create a tour that fits your needs. Get in contact with us if you would like to arrange a guided tour.
Badge work
We can help you work towards badges and awards by offering focused tours and activities to help you learn new things and demonstrate your knowledge. Let us know what you'd like to achieve by emailing us and we can help facilitate your badge and award work.
Tours are free but donations are welcome to support the work of the Cathedral.
