Regular Worship

A thriving worshipping community of all ages for people and communities across Essex and East London.

Chelmsford Cathedral holds services daily and you are welcome to join us as we meet to pray.

Due to current restrictions, many of our services are livestreamed, and you are very welcome to join our on-line worshipping community as our clergy lead morning prayer from home.

Our 10.30am Eucharist can be found on the Cathedral’s Facebook page @chelmsfordcathedral and you are also welcome to attend in person .  Junior Church also takes place at 10.30am.  Please see Eventbrite to book a free place.

Morning Prayer and the Sunday Eucharist are available shortly afterwards on the Cathedral’s YouTube channel.  For all our services, please click on the relevant service below where you will find Orders of Service.

Prayer at Chelmsford Cathedral

At the heart of the Christian faith is a desire to connect with God. Prayer is one way in which people seek to do just that.

There are different forms of prayer: thanksgiving, asking God for things, saying sorry to God, praising God, to silence and meditation.
