Regular Worship

A thriving worshipping community of all ages for people and communities across Essex and East London.

Chelmsford Cathedral holds services daily and you are welcome to join us as we meet to pray.

Many of our services are livestreamed, and you are very welcome to join our on-line worshipping community.

Morning Prayer and our 10.30am Eucharist can be found on the Cathedral’s Facebook page @chelmsfordcathedral and you are also welcome to attend in person.  Junior Church also takes place in Guy Harlings garden at 10.30am.
Where services are livestreamed, they are available to watch from the website.  Please scroll down the page for the relevant service where you will find both the service and the Order of Service.
Where services are livestreamed, there are occasions where you may be visible.  Please speak to a member of the welcome team on arrival if you would prefer to be seated away from the camera.
The Epiphany and Candlemas Procession takes place at 6pm on Sunday 30th January.  Please see the choral evensong section for links to the order of service and the livestream.

Prayer at Chelmsford Cathedral

At the heart of the Christian faith is a desire to connect with God. Prayer is one way in which people seek to do just that.

There are different forms of prayer: thanksgiving, asking God for things, saying sorry to God, praising God, to silence and meditation.
