Create stunning flower arrangements while minimising your environmental impact!
Pick up fresh ideas for eco-friendly flower arrangements at our upcoming Sustainable Floral Demonstration with celebrated florist Vicki Hease and the Cathedral Flower Guild.
On 1 August, Chelmsford Cathedral Flower Guild is thrilled to host renowned florist and lecturer Vicki Hease for a special demonstration on sustainable floral design.
“Vicki has a wealth of experience through her many roles in the floral industry along with arranging flowers at St Edmundsbury Cathedral,” explains secretary of the guild, Lesley Worboys. “She is passionate about the importance of sustainable practices and minimising the environmental impact of her arrangements.
“Her demonstration will include techniques and sustainable mechanics required for a range of positions in the cathedral which can be used in churches, for decorating event venues or within your home.”
Eco-friendly adaptations like avoiding floral foam and using locally grown flowers all make a difference, and the demonstration will support churches with their A Rocha Eco Church Award, she adds. “The audience will watch Vicki make some floral arrangements, giving hints and tips on how she is making them, which they can use for their own churches and venues.”
Join us on 1 August at 7:00 PM for a 7:30 PM start.
Tickets are £20 and include a glass of wine and nibbles.
