Chelmsford Cathedral was delighted to welcome choristers from Brentwood Cathedral to join with the Chelmsford Cathedral choir at a civic service to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.
The Lord Lieutenant of Essex, Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst along with Mayors and Chairs from across Essex attended. The occasion marked the start of a week of celebrations. If you would like to watch the service, it is available on our YouTube channel.
On Tuesday morning, families are invited to a Jubilee themed Stay and Play Lego, there is a coffee morning on Saturday 4th at 10am and on Sunday evening at 3.30pm, there is a special celebratory Evensong followed by tea and cake.
All week in the Cathedral is a display of photos and recollections from the Queen's visit to the Cathedral in 2014 and if you are in the city in the evening, you will notice the Cathedral is lit red, white and blue!
