50 Faces of the Holy Land exhibition

From the 10th to 18th September Chelmsford Cathedral will be hosting the 50 Faces of the Holy Land exhibition.

Curated by the Christian charity Friends of the Holy Land, this photographic exhibition is designed to highlight the resilience and faith of those living in the Holy Land. In the special project by Marcin Mazur, the 50 photographs help tell the individual stories of Israeli, Palestinian, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Samaritan and Druze people living in the Holy Land.

Since it was created in 2017, the exhibition has been displayed at the Houses of Parliament and at cathedrals and churches of different denominations around the UK. The exhibition was originally commissioned by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England & Wales.

To mark the exhibition’s time in Chelmsford, a special Sung Evening Prayer on Wednesday 11th September at 5.15pm will be followed by an In Conversation event with The Rt Revd Dr Guli Francis-Dehqani, Bishop of Chelmsford and Fr Nael Abu Rahmoun, Rector of Christ Church Nazareth hosted by Brendan Metcalfe, Chief Executive of Friends of the Holy Land. The panel will come together to reflect on the time they have spent in the Holy Land.
