Friends of Chelmsford Cathedral Autumn Festival and AGM

Sat 14 September 2024 Time: 3:00pm - 4:00pm

The Friends of Chelmsford Cathedral invite you to join them for their Autumn Festival and AGM. At this event the Friends will share with us their achievements over the last year and how they will be looking to support the Cathedral in the year ahead. The Festival's guest speaker will be Pattedy Nyagah from St Paul's Cathedral in Embu, Kenya. The Friends have supported the community in Embu since 1979 and more recently have provided mosquito nets for the community there. The event will be followed by refreshments in Chapter House and Evensong at 5.15pm.

The Friends of Chelmsford Cathedral was founded in 1939 are an independent charity providing financial and practical support to the Cathedral. The work of the Friends help maintain the Cathedral as a place of beauty and a welcome the congregation, the Diocese and visitors. Over the years, the Friends have financed many major projects including the restoration of the Glory Tapestry that can be seen at the east end of the Cathedral. They also pray for the ministry and mission of the Cathedral

You do not need to be a Friend to attend this event, all are welcome to attend
