Emotional Wellbeing, Mental Health and Spirituality Conference Chelmsford Cathedral, Wednesday April 27th 2022
Who is it for? Schools, faith and community groups supporting children, young people and their families to promote positive emotional wellbeing and mental health
This conference will provide you with lots of information and insights into the issues around child and adolescent mental health and well-being. It is hoped that delegates will take away a positive experience and gain a greater understanding about how to make a difference within the environments you work and with whom you interact.

Conference order:
9.15 am: Welcome and housekeeping
9.25 am: Conference opening by The Mayor of Chelmsford, Cllr Jude Deakin.
9.30am – 10.15: The Importance of Mind Body Connection. How we help children develop a relationship between their minds and bodies so that they learn better, live better and feel better. Sue Bell OBE. CEO and Clinical Director of Kids Inspire.
10.15 – 10.25 comfort break
10.30am – 11.05 am, and then 11.10 – 11.45: workshops (see below)
11.55: plenary
12.15: lunch with stalls around the cathedral
13.15: A Mindfulness exercise with Dr Liz Anscombe
13.30 – 14.15: Supporting mental health and wellbeing in a primary school. Kate Moore, Headteacher of Birch Church of England Primary School and Associate Priest at Chelmsford Cathedral, and in a secondary school. Tim Abbott, Director of Christian Youth Outreach (CYO).
14.15 – 14.45: Young Peoples’ voices on experiences of mental health and wellbeing. Introducing Aimee, Sophia and Kaydee
