Chelmsford Cathedral

For Young People

There is plenty for children and young people of all ages to get involved with at Chelmsford Cathedral. You can follow updates from all our groups on the Chelmsford Cathedral Young People Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/chelmsfordcathedralyouth/ or the Cathedral’s Youth and Community Instagram account https://www.instagram.com/chelmsfordcathedralyc/

Junior Church

Children of all ages and their families are welcome to take part in our junior church services, which happen at the same time as our 9.30 Eucharist services every Sunday in term time. There is a full programme of events for Junior Church families including trips out, social events, and an annual trip to the pantomime! For more information, and how to join, please refer to our Junior Church page http://www.chelmsfordcathedral.org.uk/junior-church-1.html

Youth Group

We run two youth groups, which meet on Monday evenings. The younger group (for young people in school years 6 to 8) meets from 5.30-7pm, and the older group (for young people in school years 9 to 13) meets from 7-8.30pm. Both groups are open to all faiths and worldviews, and offer diverse programmes including trips out, guest speakers, fun and games, and plenty of time to hang out.
