Chelmsford Cathedral Choirs' Association (CCCA) promotes and supports the activities of the Chelmsford Cathedral Choirs by fundraising, as well as establishing and fostering a friendly relationship among members of the Association. In recent years it has underwritten choir tours to Paris and Chartres, choir medals, honours boards for the Song School, and social activities for the choirs.
It also seeks to promote, develop and maintain the interest of members and the public through the English cathedral choral tradition and the Cathedral's choirs. The Association organises fudraising events through the year including a candlelit dinner in the Cathedral, a hog roast, quiz nights and wine tasting.
The next event will be a Quiz Night on Friday 10 March 2017 at 7.30pm in the Cathedral. Tickets will available nearer the date.
All events are open to members of the public, and membership of the Assocation is relatively inexpensive at £10 for individual membership and £15 for family membership. An application form to join can be downloaded here.
A recent event featured the Organist & Master of the Choristers and Assistant Organist in a concert of light music:
