Festival Dates 2005: 7-14 May
The twenty-second Festival takes place from 5-14 May and gets off to a very different start this year with a Gourmet Meal in the Festival Marquee which this year is sponsored by Tiptree Preserves.
Main concerts in the Cathedral at 8.00 p.m. from Saturday 7 May to Saturday 14 May will include The Southbank Sinfonia, Anthony Marwood, Opus Anglicanum, Kit Hestketh Harvey with Kit and the Widow, Cardinall's Music, OperaBabes, Pasadena Roof Orchestra, The King's Consort.
These events are supported by a diverse Festival in the Community with lunchtime concerts in various local churches, lectures at Hyde Hall, Essex Records Office and Anglia Polytechnic University, an exhibition at Chelmsford Library as well as many street performances.
