The Jacob Room can accommodate up to 10 people for small meetings and seminar groups.

A small kitchen is available on the second floor for use by those hiring first floor rooms for making drinks.

Car Parking

We regret that there is no public car parking available at the Chapter House, but local car parks are nearby and many daytime restrictions in streets surrounding the area do not apply in the evening. Some short-stay parking can be arranged on request for vehicles delivering stores and equipment.

There is, however a Park and Ride scheme available from near the Sandon interchange of the A12. Please see http://www.essexcc.gov.uk/microsites/parkandride/

Additional Facilities

We can offer overhead projectors, screens, flipcharts, audio-visual (Powerpoint) projectors, and the use of a TV/Video at a small extra cost. You may bring additional equipment, such as display panels, screens and flipcharts into the Chapter House by arrangement as long as the equipment has passed a PAT electrical safety test within the last 12 months.

We have a Custodian on duty in the building most days and a verger is always available in the Cathedral nearby to help out at other times. Staff in the Cathedral Office are also on hand to help with any queries.
